Msgr. Metastasis is Jan De Pauw, philosopher with an imploding lump of brains. Needn't worry though, he's got a degree. He's trained to make sense of all this.
Through his five-year experience at De Verbeelding, a Ghent-based service on youth and culture, Msgr. Metastasis has managed to leave samples of his expertise at varying locations on the globe and far-out reaches of the human mind.
You can look for them between Brussels and New York, but beware, there's lot's of water there.
You'll find 'em in all shapes and sizes, from a two week long hiphophappening (check at VPRO), through a stretch of hour-long talks on popular and counterculture (check my agenda), to a three-night literary investigation of Paradise (check with Tom Maddox, Gerard Malanga and Andreas Sinakowski; they're still in there).
At Isdm, Msgr. Metastasis co-hosts the live 'net.surfs' at schools, cultural centers and other places of public interest.
He also scans the Web for Backdoors, and maybe even new contributions to Hyperphernalia, conducts parts of the researchprogram and fingerprinted most of the words you're reading here. Is he cleared?
Msgr. Metastasis can be contacted at Isdm or at De Verbeelding, 32 9 225 14 40.
Or e-mailed at jan.depauw@ping.be.
