Michaël Samyn is not an artist. He is just a bad designer. Good designers work for their clients. Devoted designers work for their audience. Michaël Samyn works for the media. He believes that the new media will one day surpass the power of the book and the film in creating immersive environments. These media are still very young and do not have a language nor methods of their own yet. Zuper! engages itself in exploring and exploiting the potential of new media to make the user willingly suspend his or her disbelief. Each new Zuper! project means a step closer towards extreme manipulation of the viewer's feelings. The road ahead is long but Michaël is patient. After all it took television 30 years to develop its current maturity.
